You will be an important member of our Technical Support team, where you will get the opportunity to work with the latest developments within electrical and instrumentation disciplines as well as mature systems we still operate offshore. You will work amongst highly dedicated colleagues, each being subject matter experts within various technical fields. You will take part in daily operational trouble shooting and advising on ongoing issues, but also be responsible for engineering and executions of modifications and upgrades to our existing vessels – from anchor handlers to extremely specialised and customised subsea vessels

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist your overall objective will be to support vessels on trouble shooting and manage modification projects from the initial idea is conceived until hand-over to our fleet teams. In the position as automation and electrical specialist, you are expected to be ready to evaluate and assess the technology of the future for our vessels. You will be a key point of contact for a wide variety of equipment suppliers in our constant drive for optimizing equipment, solutions and systems to accommodate our customers’ requirements and maintain a sustainable business.
Who we are looking for:
A highly dedicated Electrical and Instrumentation Specialist. Preferably, you have experience from the marine or off-shore related industries and specialist knowledge about diesel electric power distribution systems, AC-drives and DP-systems, integrated control systems, relevant industry rule and regulations and other relevant disciplines.
Candidates with experience outside the marine/off-shore industry are also invited to apply but must be prepared for a steep learning curve and be able to apply previous experience to new areas.
You must have excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and you have proven experience in negotiating with suppliers. You deliver unmatched solutions with due consideration for rigorous health, safety and environmental procedures and you never compromise on accuracy. In short, your sense of quality is a natural part of your professional conduct.

The position requires travel time in the range of 40-50 travel days per year.
